Apart from Christ the sting of death can not be removed and everyone stands condemned by the law. But thanks be to God who gives us victory through Jesus Christ the Firstfruit.

The resurrection reveals to us what was previously hidden – Jesus is the Son of God.
He is risen, exalted, and seated at the right hand of the Father.
Therefore there is hope for us. The risen Christ has power to change is, to forgive us, to give us the Holy Spirit and power, and to open heaven for us.

This includes violence perpetrated in the name of God by people who profess religious faith.
What then is Christ’s answer to violence?

In these days we see a clear trend where focus moves away from Jesus Christ to rather help people do life.
Does a teaching, a book, a sermon, a tele-broadcast, your calling, make more of you or more of Jesus?

“Be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by error of lawlessness men and fall from your secure position”

These are days in which it is easy to get discouraged, and frustrated, and afraid.
It is easy to drift away from the commitment you once had made to the Lord and to His work. There is a great danger in spiritual decline caused by setbacks.

The world is under a curse that came about through human sin and rebellion against God. But God made a wonderful way of hope and we can be part of His plan.

It is God’s purpose that there will be in every community a place of worship where God’s people will gather, where God’s name will be exalted, and where God’s presence will be known. Do not fall into the trap of thinking that gathering for worship does not matter.
